Father's Day Picnic Reminder and other news

5/30/2015

Dear Members,

Just a reminder that the Father's day picnic will be held this coming Saturday, June 6th.  Details can be found by clicking here. We expect to see you in large numbers.  Do remember to bring your picnic chairs.

The Venue for the World Goa day picnic for August 22nd has been confirmed at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Rigaud.  The date for the St. Francis Xavier's feast has also been confirmed, for November 28th and will be held at St. Suzanne's Church on Gouin Blvd (details for both these events will be published shortly).

The QGA requires catering and DJ services for the St. Francis Xavier's feast and also DJ services for the Viva Goa event on October 4th.  Anyone interested in providing these services, should contact any of the committee members by July 31st.

Kindly contact me promptly if you know anyone who is still having a problem receiving QGA emails or accessing the website.

Sincerely,
Annette Rodriguez
QGA Secretary

QGA Father's Day Picnic, June 2015

The father's day picnic turned out to be a splendid event and with a more than modest turnout. The weather was nice and sunny and it was so good to see folks basking in the sun, sharing snacks, taking pics, having fun and mingling around. Prior lunch the fathers lined up for a game in which they had to make it to the finish line without dropping a marble from a spoon carried in their mouths. Lunch as usual was great with a variety of different dishes including Bombay ducks, and which was followed by tea and desert a little later. The picnic ended by late evening with a sing-a-long, and a stroll around the lake. My congrats go out to the QGA committee for putting on another great event, and for their efforts. Will be eagerly looking forward to the next occasion!

Thanks for the beautiful review Noel which is greatly appreciated. I am glad you enjoyed yourself as did most other people from the rave reviews that we have been getting so far.

You can expect more exciting things in the next few months and I am confident that we will get an even greater number for our next event - World Goa Day picnic.

QGA President
