Beef Croquettes

Method:
Makes 12 servings.
- 1 kg lean minced beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 green chillies, chopped
- ¼ spoon clove powder
- 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder
- ¼ spoon black pepper powder
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 inch ginger chopped
- 1-2 slices bread
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- chopped coriander
- Breadcrumbs for coating
- Salt as needed
Method:
- In a saucepan, cook together the mince, onions, chillies and spices. Cook until all the water is absorbed and mince is dry.
- Grind the meat and coriander in a blender. Add the bread and the lightly beaten egg. Mash everything together.
- Shape the meat into small cocktail sausages, dip in the lightly beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Shallow fry in oil until golden brown.
Makes 12 servings.
